Places around us are filled with mentors. We just don't easily realize it.
While I was compiling the GIF images of Natalia,it dawned on me that the man, whose face we didn't clearly see because he was wearing sunglasses, taught us not only how to stand on a paddleboard but taught us something more important..
"Go to kneeling position first ", that was what he said.
Natalia did so but as she was about to stand up, she had a hard time so the guy told her to go down on her knees again. The guy was there, holding the end of the board. Robz was there on the side supporting her. Slowly, she was able to rise to an upright position on her feet.
In every area of one's life, in order for us learn and do something, we have to seek Him first, go down on our knees and pray. If , along the way, we couldn't regulate the state of equillibrium, or we throw off balance and fall, we have to pray again and ask His guidance.Family and friends would be there to support us. Eventually, we would be able to stand up and we would overcome any obstacle that block our dreams.
If one day, you visit Punta fuego and you meet a man paddling a board and whose face you won't clearly see because he wears sunglasses, kindly tell him, "Thank you" from me.
Oh,so you won't have a hard time knowing which guy, you could ask for his name. That guy we met is named Antonio Legarda.
Big thanks to the people who paddled in life with me last weekend. I could face the whole week because I enjoyed singing, praying before meal time ( The Lord's day was a new experience for me),planning ( We laughed watching Daryl who couldn't finish his sandwich because he needed to give his thoughts.) learning how to swim,(Thank u Natalia for the confidence that you gave ) deliciously eating(Thank you to the brilliant minds of the people behind the kitchen door who sacrificed in not swimming and instead prepared beef, fish, soup, specially the vegetable salad- my favorite)snorkeling,( Thank u Richard.It was so good to see the fish) kayaking,( I finally learned the way-when I was left alone on the boat ) mountain climbing, ( It was just a cliff but for me it was a mountain. Irene- You're my idol )waiting ,washing the dishes, ( thank u partner ems) inhaling the fresh air, sleeping, ( sa terrace- ang sarap !!) laughing, ( from the jokes of our He Cares head )and taking pictures.
